2015-16 THS Orchestra Performance Dates

 

September 28, 2015 6:00 – 7:15 Dress Rehearsal

 

September 29, 2015  7:00 Performance THS Auditorium Mystery in the THS Auditorium!  This will be a who-done-it thriller!  Be sure to come

and enjoy!!

 

December 4, 2015 7:00 – 9:00 Tempe History Museum Holiday Event. The THS Mariachi will be performing three short sets during this time. The event is open to the public. This will be a small ensemble of students chosen from first period.  If you are interested in doing a bit of extra work and learning lots of Mariachi tunes, please let me know. 

 

December 7 , 2015 6:00 – 7:15 Dress Rehearsal

 

December 8, 2015 7:00  Performance THS Auditorium Story time!  Our music will help tell a story.  The audience will love this performance.  Let’s get a huge crowd to share the fun.

 

January 22 and 23, 2016

Regional Auditions. I hope that many of you will consider preparing for the Regional auditions.  It is a great deal of work but well worth the effort!  If you are selected, Regional Orchestra is Feb. 19 – 20.

Chamber music at Tempe Historical Museum.  This was an incredible concert last year.  I can’t wait to do it again this year!  Some chamber music ensembles will perform at this performance.  Details will come later!

 

Saturday, April 9, 2016 Musica Nova Symphony will be performing for us!  A couple of students will be invited to play side-by-side in the professional orchestra.

 

March 23, 2016 6:00 – 7:15  Fine Arts Festival  THS Amphitheater

All students will be assigned to play in a chamber ensemble.  All small ensembles will perform at this festival.  Our goal will be to have 800 visitors to our school to share the excellence of our Fine Arts Department.  We will have chamber music, from

orchestra and band, visual arts, drama, IB and more!!  Parents, I will need help with this exciting venture.  This will also be a fundraiser for the Fine Arts Department at THS.

April 26, 2016 7:00  Performance  THS Auditorium 

We will share the stage with the Gililland

Orchestra.  Last year this concert wasincredible.

I am looking forward to another exciting concert!
